About Me
Jia is a music teacher and bassist from Westchester, New York who recently graduated from Temple University with a Bachelors of Music in Music Education. Since then, music has been a consistent presence in her life. Jia’s teaching philosophy involves using music to learn emotional regulation, as well as sharing the joy of music with students.
Jia is also a professional musician, taking gigs on double bass and electric. While at Temple, she has performed at Kimmel Center, The Grape Room, PhilaMOCA and Kung Fu Necktie. She has studied bass with both Anne Peterson and Tony Maceli.
